I hate talking on the phone, too, but making appointments and reservations are the one phone thing I feel confident about and everyone is trying to take this away from me by moving it all online! I don't actually hate making doctor's appointments online - I actually prefer it to discussing the reasons for the appointment with some random person in scheduling if it's not a routine thing. Last time I made restaurant reservations, though, I called and got a recording saying I had to go do it through Open Table. Now I get Open Table spam. At least the clinic system I go to has their own scheduling function on their website and I don't have to go through a third party.
