Not my thing at alllllllll. I tried watching the first few episodes, but just didn't like it.

It's supposed to be so ~touching~ but to me it just feels like they're checking off boxes of cliches. Like, it has all the "right" things, it just doesn't really resonate for me. I just didn't find myself caring about any of the characters, even though in theory I should've. It's just...hollow. I'm not quite sure how else to explain it, honestly. Emotional manipulation maybe? IDK, something about it was just...off, for me.

Yep. Those exact reasons are why I never even made it past the trailer. Especially those cliche check boxes. It definitely feels like they're just using the emotional drama playbook and basically telling people what they should feel and when instead of just letting the stories play out naturally and letting viewers connect with the show in their own way.
