People asking me what my astrological sign is. I always wish I could explain to them that I think astrology is complete bullshit but that would not be the greatest thing to do in a social situation.

I just say I don't believe in that stuff. If someone goes apeshit on me about it that's their problem.

That never happens to me, but on the rare occasions it does I shrug and say I'm not really into that. If they persist, then they get a pedantic lecture about how horoscopes are written in such a generalized fashion that they could apply to anyone, etc. etc. But I don't do that unless people refuse to drop it.

I can’t remember the last time someone asked me my sign.

I usually just laugh and go "Serious?" Not in a mean way, but as though I really think they are joking. A friendly way. And then if they insist, just a "Oh, I have no idea, I don't follow that stuff." Usually makes it pretty clear that you don't believe it. If they try to convince you, just roll back into the laughing - but in the friendly way, like you really think they are just joking or purposefully being silly.

Advanced level, turn it around and say something like, "Isn't it crazy that this is still a thing people talk about?" and then provide some example of an insane antiquated superstition. They will probably be offended but since you're "including" them rather than "attacking" them (like you would if you ranted and called it bullshit) they'll have to back off a little.

I'd be like, whose list are you going by? The original 12? The 13? Some people say there's at least 30. Who the fuck can be bothered?
