The current theme to this version of Hawaii FiveO is actually an update to the original show. If you like the current version, you'll love the original version.

My parents had this album that was all TV theme music (re-orchestrated versions, not the actual recordings used in the shows, but they generally sounded nearly identical). It had a bunch of stuff on there - I mostly remember the scifi stuff - but Hawaii Five-O was on there. This was before the new Hawaii Five-O and I'd never seen the original, but I did love that piece of music!

I have recently been rewatching this since it's on Netflix. It's one of the few shows that i'll actually not do the 'skip intro' thing on, 'cause the music rocks! As do the images - if you watch the intro to the original series, they really hit the mark in doing some exact shot replicas, which i love.

(I watch a lot of it on ff though - some of the characters are so awful i just can't stand it.)

I don't watch this show at all, but the remade theme song is so much fun, I've actually got it on my computer and listen to it from time to time.

It's a good theme.
