I have a turtle, a Red Eared Slider. I've had her for 25 years. She's awesome but will never get another one because they live forever.

I would love to have the kind of lifestyle where I could have a dog or cat, but I travel too much right now and live alone. I have no experience with either kind of pet and would rather only attempt it if I were paired off with a partner who knew what they were doing.

We have two red-eared sliders that were "rescued" from one of my nephew's friends. They'd been sold when they were too small to be legally sold. They each have a fifty-gallon tank because one of them bites the other if they have to share.

I have a very round, very chill, black cat, my sister has a handsome but easily-startled tuxedo cat, and my mom has an 85-pound Catahoula Leopard Dog who's a big chicken.
