I don't get any content on that article. There's the picture of him, a poll about sandwiches, sidebar links to other articles, and a bunch of grey formatted like text but with no actual text.

Yeah, I would not call it the best website. It doesn't even have the date for the event on the page!

Danny Elfman

What: A screening of the Elfman-scored “A Nightmare Before Christmas,” followed by a Q&A with Elfman himself.

When: Tuesday

Where: The Ross, 313 N. 13th St., Lincoln

Tickets: sold out

More: at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts, the Berlin Philharmonic Piano Quartet will perform the world premiere of a new classical composition written by Elfman. Go to liedcenter.org to get tickets to or learn more about that event.

And then they talk a whole bunch about his achievements in film, but absolutely nothing about his 17 years with Oingo Boing (or the Mystic Knights).

I get the impression that he feels about his Oingo Boingo days much the way Christopher Lee did about his Hammer days in his later years (though perhaps without Lee's grouchiness): it was good times, but they are long over and he doesn't have anything to discuss about them anymore.

I don't know what Christopher Lee's Hammer days are?

It was the Omaha Community Playhouse that did the background article, not Danny; they're the ones that didn't mention OB. Danny has OB prominently mentioned in his "Who is Elfman?" biography on his own website.

I think he's plenty proud of OB and what they achieved. It's just that he went partially deaf achieving it so yeah, there's some bitterness there, too.

He's spoken about that too. It's partially from those days, but it's also partially genetic.
