I get that you're not trying to insult the many, many people who use social media (including many here on FS) but... your first belief is kind of predicated on the fact that you kinda sorta do view using social media as somehow lesser than choosing not to. Otherwise #1 wouldn't make sense.

I didn't think this would be a sensitive topic lol

I use social media as well. I'm sorry but English is not my first language and while I do have a reasonable skill level for grammar, it is still very difficult for me to put my thoughts into words.

Let me try again. I believe his attitude towards social media is a trait of his own intelligence. It isn't a question of whether or not social media does imply on whether or not the intelligence is present to begin with. NASA has a Twitter account and Instagram account lol I do not think people who use those platforms are not intelligent.

That's fine. I don't mean to give you a hard time, it just seemed like a funny conclusion to draw about social media/intelligence. I'm not a heavy user of social media myself, but I don't think it's any indicator of how smart or not smart I am. It's just not my cup of tea for many reasons, and I imagine the same is probably true of a lot of people who choose not to use social media.
