Re: What recent media disappointed you?

I kind of liked the concept at the beginning but it got really messy with the whole Klingon/Human hybridization (?)and the parallel universe and I was kind of annoyed at the "kill your gays" trope getting used, especially since the death count was fairly low otherwise. I still liked it but it definitely still needs to find its sea legs. I can't actually speak for other series because this is the first one in the Star Trek universe I've watched. I think this might be why I don't have any of the resentment some of the long-term fans seems to have brought into watching Discovery - I just see it as a Sci-fi show without any fannish Trekkie feelings attached.
