Those things aren't just stupid, they actually cause harm. Someone writing woobie fic of a Star Wars character is at worst an annoyance. It is absurd to think that AYRT meant they support everyone who gets called stupid for liking a thing; they clearly are referring to those who get called stupid for liking something stupid but harmless.
