it's cold

Last night we had freezing rain, hail and a short thunderstorm. Today everything is still covered in a layer of pea-sized hail that's coated in a second layer of ice. Slick as snot on a glass doorknob.

And at my school, the ice has nuggets of goose shit embedded in it.

FUCKING COLD, and yesterday? It was 68 degrees. Today - low twenties, freezing mist, and probably freezing later on tonight. ARGH.

I'm home from work and in my warm fleecy stuff, though, so it's all good.

Misfire, damnit.

I wish I had something interesting and fun to do today but I don't.

I'm off work today so I went for a run, did laundry (only 2 loads today, yay!), smoked a little weed and watched Honest Trailers and Olympic women's curling. I'm making cannelloni beans and sausage for dinner tonight.

I had a busy day at work, so I’m too sluggish to do anything else. I’m just going to lie in bed and wish I had a personal chef. I smell potatoes next door. Some kind of spice on them, not sure what, but I bet it’s good. Mmmmm.

It was icy as hell this morning and I had a migraine during most of my work day. :( So now I am eating potatoes and trying to stay warm.

Feeling worn out from work and a church thing feeding people. Ate something bad for me.

When the ladies' aid puts on a feed, there's beans on every plate.
And if you eat more than you should, destruction is complete.

I had the day off but I didn't do anything exciting. Tonight I go to the coming out group for the second time and I'm a little nervous about that.

Just quietly freaking out because I have a big fancy event soon and I'm nervous.

I can't tell myself that nobody will be looking at me either. I'm expected to be doing a lot of talking and mingling and posing for photos.

I don't have confidence that I can pull off any of this. Even looking like I belong there is probably an unattainable goal.

Being wide awake, aside from micronaps whenever I give up on sleeping and try to do something.

Did some laundry, read a book, gonna have dinner and go for a walk. Pissed at neighbor across the alley who I overheard saying something about “kick out the homosexuals.” Years ago a guy down the alley attacked my mom with a length of rebar because our dogs were noisy, and another guy is a code-enforcement-obsessed whackjob who keeps calling in complaints about my legal chickens and another neighbor’s boat and whatever else he’s flipping out about this week. But I didn’t realize I had so many homophobic bigot neighbors, and now I’m bummed.

Migraine day 4. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Spent most of the day in my room with the lights off. Had to give a speech tonight though. Went okay. Now I'm going to eat pills, take some food, maybe watch an episode of something, then go to bed.

I'm worried about tomorrow because I have to be out most of the day. I don't have a choice. So I need this headache to go away.

There was a primary election here today. My polling place was just changed from the park pavilion to a school. This was clearly the best decision ever because some school parents were running a bake sale by the door. I got some chocolate chocolate chip cookies.

Currently takin' a short break before going back to grind in a game since someone is paying me to do so.

I set up an appointment for Delsarte training--I hope it will help me on the stage, because I sometimes feel really disconnected from my body, if that makes any sense. Like I don't know what I am supposed to do with it. And I got some good vocal coaching from my opera studio instructor--I was so happy that I ran to the practice rooms downstairs and had a really good hour of singing. And my genetics exam was postponed, at which I shed no bitter tears.
