Re: What silly things stress you out?

Buying things like a lipstick. Do I really need it? Don't I have one already in almost that color? What if it ends up like the one I retrieved from the back of my vanity drawer and it was rancid and I had to throw it out and it was hardly even used? And I think I bought a mascara no more than 3 months ago, but maybe it was 9 months and I need a new one, and I hate wearing mascara unless I'm singing and absolutely have to because it makes my eyes tear. Maybe I can use the old one one more time. Maybe I'll go blind.

Paying bills. I keep thinking of excuses to do it tomorrow. Which is stupid and dangerous, but I have to have everything just so before I can get out the checkbook (yes, I still use one) and start writing. All the invoices have to be marked the exact same way. If my work area looks untidy I can't do it.

Singing in the practice rooms at my school. They are set up so you can't hear other people while you are in them...but they can still hear you. I imagine all the voice majors cringing and thinking "isn't she ashamed to mangle that aria like that?"

I mean that anyone outside of the practice rooms, in the hall, can hear you. And so can the people in the fancy large practice rooms along the corridor--the soundproofing really sucks.
