Spending time in front of the screen let me meet new people, though. Those who happen to live in my area, we now meet up once a week in real life, too. We go to the movies, to restaurants, concerts, and do all kinds of fun stuff. We help each other when our pets are sick or when someone needs to move. It's awesome!

Those living further away, we sometimes meet when traveling, or visit each other. I went to Cologne and Munich just to spend a few hours with online friends who were traveling Europe, and I traveled to another country to visit my online bestie (and had her visit me in turn the next year).

So, I guess it's all a matter of perspective, and what you do in front of that screen. I don't regret any of it. *g*
