That's the image it conjures up for me too. I get how it could be hot and I've read fic where it works, but at the same time, I can't help thinking that their teeth hurt and does passion really overwhelm pain that much?

Tooth chips and blood drops flying everywhere, like rice and rose petals on the church stairs. Maybe also with sound effects. Super sexxxay.

I'm not into pain. Especially if pain involves split lips, getting cracked across the nose with someone else's chin, or chipped teeth and bitten tongues. Coming together in urgent need is one thing, but "crashing" is too jolting a word and carries with it the connotation of a hard, damaging impact.
