It's because of his lovely, timeless face. There's something wonderfully ageless about it.

If he was a dog, he'd be a Schnauzer, because they always look older than they are too. Even when they're puppies.

Part of it might be his hairline. It's always been comparatively far back, even in the 1990s. And how his face is really angular, which is uncommon for people in their 20s.

I was a young teen then and apparently assumed he was a lot older than he was at the time. Of course, any adult seems old when you're a teen or child. It's always a bit of a shock when I find out that someone who was famous when I was 14 is not actually all that much older than me.
