The only reason I'd like you to name the fandom, OP is because this sounds like the kind of ship I like (villain & non-villains hooking up is my SHIT, especially if it causes collateral damage & the "good one" wasn't supposed to like the "bad one", or vice versa.

The villain is the main character's psychotic brother, who seduces his ward earlier in the series. She takes revenge upon him and tries to kill him, but he turns up again while she's sort of going through a difficult time and they hook up in a slightly messed up way.

Gah!! I HATED when they paired her with Diogenes, but I don't like her with Aloysius either. I'll just go grump in the corner, but seeing the series mentioned definitely made me happy!

OMG, my first thought was "Is this... is this an Agent Pendergast secret?.. Naaaah, nobody cares". And then I've read the comments, and just can't stop smiling. You made me very happy, despite the fact that I've been a die-hard Diogenes/Constance shipper since "The book of the dead" :)

And didn't your OTP actually became canon? Like, that whole "-Ah, but I can't love you. -Ah, but thou must!" conversation implied that the feelings are there, and they're mutual (unlike Diogenes' feelings... if there are any left). Also there's the ending of "City of endless night", but I won't go into details just in case you haven't read it yet.

P.S. Why yes, I do hate Aloysius/Constance >:D But eh, I can see why people ship it.
