What are some of your small fandoms that have been taken over by crossovers/fusions large ones?

Usually happens because they share an actor or something.

I love Steve Rogers, but I really wish people would stop crossing over Captain America and Political Animals.

I enjoy it too. I have several bookmarked. But Steve Rogers is the second most popular character in the Political Animals section. It can be a bit annoying when you want to read actual fic about the Political Animals characters.

Personally, I also get creeped out by Steve/TJ fics where Bucky is a canon character that makes it seem like TJ is just Bucky look-alike for Steve to fuck.

That is annoying! Is it easy to filter those out of a search?
I think the only time I've had problems with the filtering on AO3 is when I want fics for a less popular pairing in a big fandom like Avengers, and I end up getting so many hits of them as a secondary pairing but there's no real way to only look for fics with them as the focus other than to filter out every single other pairing. :/

Oh yeah, I have seen one fic description I didn't even click on that may as well have been "Steve uses T.J. like a Bucky-shaped kleenex". Not here for that!!
I kind of prefer fics where Bucky didn't exist, even though I like Bucky, I just don't think he fits neatly in that crossover without raising a lot of questions.

I strongly prefer fics where Bucky doesn't exist in that world. Be it a complete AU or just no Bucky Captain America AU.

There are a LOT of Doctor Who crossovers in the Broadchurch fandom because of David Tennant. It doesn't bother me that much to be honest, even though I've never seen Doctor Who and I don't read the fics.

Shakespeare Histories. It got swamped by Tom Hiddleston fans, and crossed over mightily with Snow White and the Huntsman, via Thor.

Not quite the same thing but I'm interested in exactly three flavours of Zelda, of which the largest is Majora's Mask.

If I go to the Minish Cap tag on ao3, for example, it's a mix of fics with 3-6 fandoms and fics with 10+ fandoms and the occasional fic with 1-2 fandoms, most of which are mass-Zelda crossovers (or Four Swords fics).
