Everyone seems to take the scene where Claire stares at a mom and kid as a "turning point in which she realizes yes she _does_ in fact want a family." while I'm over here thinking she went "....OHSHITTHEKIDSITOTALLYFORGOTABOUTTHEMFUCK!"

I honestly never got the impression that Claire totally realized she wanted kids during the course of the movie and definitely intends to have some. More like she A) bonded with her nephews and became less awkward with them, B) made peace with her role as a aunt, and C) realized her family (i.e. the people she already has, not necessarily hypothetical future kids) are important to her due to almost dying.

Also, it seemed to me that the boys kind of got dumped on here at a time that wasn't particularly convenient for her (weren't the parents getting a divorce or something?) In other words, it wasn't just Claire being a workaholic. Maybe she did't make much effort to clear her schedule, but who knows how far out this was planned for.

I don't know what the movie intended to say, but taking everything at face value, I feel like saying Claire wants kids now is reading too much into it.
