Most sex is a little gross if you overthink it, especially if you're not the one who's enthusiastically having it. Lots of squishy sounds and excessive fluids. Add to that someone who isn't turned on by a specific act and writers' tendencies to throw puffy, weeping holes around, and yeah, sometimes reading the butt sex can be kind of gross. Reading about the vag sex can also be gross (or hilarious), but you don't run across that in slash fic very often.
