thank you for saying what i came to say! I always thought it super cool that the two titles, despite how they SOUND, are so polar opposite in connotation. "It's a Wonderful World" is SUCH A CREEPY TITLE.

OP angers me though for being one of those people who judges things based on their fandom. CAN'T you just enjoy something without having to talk to everyone on the internet about it? ALL FANDOMS ARE BAD. JUST PLAY THE GAME.

Exactly! Ever since I ran into them, I was like, "Why in the world would they name the game after the zombie catchphrase? Who thought that summed up what this game was about??" It's not even something they elaborate on in abstract, the way they do with the concept of the world ending with you.

Also I agree 110%. Lately there isn't a fandom in the world that doesn't piss me off for some reason -- whether it's ship wars or ship bashing, or an abundance of crack or people behaving stupidly on purpose, or whatever. KH fandom sucks, it's true, but it's really also true that almost every fandom sucks. Instead of whining and refusing to play the game, just do what I do. Join an LJ community, skim what they post there, and only view the stuff that doesn't piss you off. In fandoms where I do that, which is all but one of my current fandoms, I haven't found anything that agitates me more than a cursory eyeroll.

So, fandom climate decides what you watch and don't watch, play and don't play? Stupid. "Some of the people who like it bother me" is such n shallow reason to swear off a game, or a series, or a pairing, or whatever. It really doesn't make you any better than the shallow fangirls you're trying to avoid. XD

Edited for typo lulz. Anyway, my motto is: Hate the stupid people, not the thing they're stupid over.

Oh my god, THANK YOU! You hear from people all the time about how they hate something because of the fandom, but shouldn't you base your opinion off of your enjoyment of the thing itself instead of the fandom? It's the same as judging something without knowing anything about it and is superficial. I mean, who cares about what other people think or how they act?! What matters is how you feel about game, show, etc. and not the people. Actually give valid reasons for your dislike such as whether you hated the music or the characters sucked or whatever. Here's an example: money. If you were rich but all other rich people were snobby jerks then do you suddenly want to live in poverty? Sure you could say you'd want less money for less stressful life or something, but that's solely based upon you and not your peers. Bottom line is: you should like or dislike something based on how much you enjoy them. In this case the saying would be to hate the player, not the game.
