166) YES. Dub fans unite! People really seem to hate them for no good reason. "Squeaky-voiced Japanese girls are cute, squeaky-voiced Anglophone girls are murder on the ears" and "changing one word from the fansub even though it means the exact same thing is no better than the ruins 4Kids comes up with" are the most common, and they both disgust me.

Haruhi has a squeaky voice? I didn't know that, I thought it was, I dunno, androgynous sounding? Which Mona Marshall would have been PERFECT for... now I'm paranoid about Haruhi with a higher pitched voice because she is easily mistaken as a boy, and a girly voice on her will make the mistaken identity harder to believe.

Not her specifically. It's a complaint leveled against dubs in general that doesn't seem to make sense to me. Renge might get a squeaky voice, though.
