166. I hate Vic, but I think he'll make an AWESOME Tamaki. Okay, the guy is a jerk, but is it impossible to divorce the voice from the actor anymore?! He's a talented VA, for Chrissakes. Campaign to stop him using his VA status as a position of power, not to stop him from doing VA work at all.
With that rant over...
I'm really looking forward to the dub. ♥ I think the Haruhi sounds a little too conventionally girly, considering how subtle and adrognyous the seiyuu was (I loved her), but everyone else I'm completely happy with. I'm so excited for itttt ♥

I don't agree about Tamaki, but I completely agree with you on Haruhi. When I heard her Japanese voice, I though Mona Marshall would give her the perfect voice. Now, if I ever watch the dub (I like dubs, don't get me wrong), it will confuse me as how anyone can't tell she's not a girl with a girly voice.

I agree almost completely, actually, except I'm hoping Caitlin will prove us wrong. (I'm only familiar with one role of hers, so I can't say she can't sound androgynous--I've just never heard her do so.) Actually, I'm not even sure I'd say completely that Vic is a jerk, just....he's got a REALLY horrible habit of saying things in a way that make him......just sound....guh. I'm not even sure if he's listening to himself say those things. I wish he'd just answer questions simply "I don't like yaoi, sorry," and then just drop it.

But otherwise...yes. Really looking forward to the dub.

That struck me as funny, because before OUran if you had told me that Maaya Sakamoto was playing an androgynous character, I would have looked at you as if you grew a second head, so people can prove you wrong.

That is true. :) I'm hoping that Caitlin DOES prove me wrong, because I think pulling off Haruhi's gender-neutral voice is pretty integral to the series. Especially in the first episode.
