Yeah, ADV lost most of their licenses from the last few years back in....January, I think? They couldn't officially announce it for a while, but it's been enough time that Bang Zoom has probably been working on the dub for a while. They announced the dub cast, or some of them at least, at AX--I forget all of them, but if I remember right Yuri Lowenthal is Simon (and they're using the french pronunciation of the name), Michelle Ruff is...um...the girl in the bikini Yeah I haven't seen it yet, I know I know and--my favorite of the cast, because I love this guy--Kyle Hebert is Kamina. That's all I can remember off the top of my head...

Well, I'll be finding out soon--he's coming to my local con in September. I'm tempted to take him aside and try to talk some sense into him, but considering he's twice my age I don't think that's going to work. I almost thought about bringing it up at a panel, but....no, that's just asking for trouble. I'm not going to open my mouth at a panel or nearby fangirls.
Hmm...yeah, I get what you're saying, although I think the guys they have for the twins are going to do real well, too. I'm not familiar with Todd what's-his-name, but he does sound similar to Greg, so I think he can pull it off in terms of doing the odd synchronized twin voices.

... OH HELL YEAH THAT SOUNDS AWESOME ♥ I hope you like it, yourself!

Yeah, talking sense into someone doesn't usually work, sadly. I wouldn't even mind if he just held a stupid opinion- like saying that ALL non-canon pairings are insulting to the original creator or something, but the fact that he singles out homosexuality as this horrible thing is offensive to me personally, and not in a fandom way. And his thoughts on totally divorcing the original manga canon of series from the anime entirely make me think he's not the best choice of actor simply for that, since anyone who shunned the source material while acting in a movie would definitely get flak for it (often, I should hope, from the writer, director, and other actors @_@).
