Do you really need to watch it multiple times just to read the fics? Don't get me wrong, FMA's a great show and I love it, but I'm just curious as to why you'd need to watch it more than once to read fics.

OP, I feel you on the need to get the source material to read fic (esp. to write it), but I'm currently enjoy the SHIT out so many fics in a fandom in which I do not actively partake of [the media]. I even write my own. It's a VG fandom, so I just wiki and youtube the hell out of anything that I think is relevant/gives me some background. Also, hearing the character's voices <3
