The projection scene freaked me out a little but other than that it's more creepy and atmospheric. Pennywise has some cool grotesque bits but I've never found him all that scary in clown form.

"Real enough for Georgie" is just a real good "Fuck you" line.

Although I agree the movie played it for humor too much.

Thanks for reminding me that I haven't seen this yet. I'm reserving judgment until I see it, but my general impression from promo shots and gifs that Pennywise looks more bizarre than scary.

The only time I really thought he was scary was in the scene with Georgie
