My mother is moving back to Scotland this week after living in Australia for 8 years and she is dreading it (meanwhile I'm studying in Australia and would love to have some snow)

I'm living in Australia and would move back to the UK if I could, snow and all, while acknowledging that Aus has been good to me and for me. But I'm rather grimly amused that the UK's reaction to snow hasn't changed since I was a young 'un.

My dad was watching some Premier League game this morning and it was snowing all over the pitch and I was sitting there going, "NOPE NOPE NOPE" because we've had overnight lows in the 30s lately and that is no bueno.
