Your parents kind of suck. I get being cold when you're sick, but that's what sweaters and electric blankets are for. I'm not selfish enough to make everyone else miserable just because I feel miserable. I'll take care of sick people, but if they're a jerk to me... well, they can get their own hot soup and cold medication, then. And being offended because someone is uncomfortable, stressed out, sleep deprived and crying is depressingly lacking in compassion.

Will your budget allow you to crash at a motel or AirBnB for a couple nights? A friend's house, maybe? Sleep in the car as a last resort?
