For the heat, is it possible to shut or temporarily cover the heating vents in your room, close the door and crack a window? It'll be hell on your parents' utility bills, but you might be more comfortable. It just sounds like you need a break from your environment, even if it's just for a couple days. Are there any friends in town you could crash with for a while?

And dude, just say no can do to the grocery shopping. You're coming down with a cold, and the best thing you can do to shorten its duration (if not avoid it altogether) is to hit it hard at the beginning with plenty of rest, comfort food and hot liquids.
