Re: At what point are you too old for life choices

Damn, OP. I feel you. What is causing this desire (You don't have to answer me, of course)
Have you looked into what the requirements are / does any of your training and experience count for anything there?/ Have you given actual thought to the practicalities? Not trying to dissuade you, just asking if you've thought concretely about how that move would go down.

The desire was always there, I think. I've been spending a lot of vacations doing language classes there, and every time I'm reminded about how much I love just doing silly everyday business. Moreover, I've always felt like wherever I am in my homeland is just temporary until I find something better, except I know that there won't be anything "better" around.

What changed recently was that my mother told me how during my last vacation there, she and my father discussed my love of the great big elsewhere and how I just "had that kinda soul". It really sounded a chord to hear someone else say what I've always been feeling.

Well, OP, I wish you luck! Especially if you decide to start your life there. :)

You can always start anew. Have you thought about trying it out for a year or two and seeing if the day to day is truly for you (I think it's also good that you visit frequently), if that's feasible?
