oh! no, fandom is racist. i wasn't offering that as an explanation for why fandom doesn't have BBC. i was just saying - if BBC became popular in fandom, it wouldn't entirely be pearl-clutching for people to point out the racist dynamics.

i mean, it's a kind of complicated relationship between race and porn, and the idea would inevitably be addressed with all the subtlety and attention to nuance of a flamethrower if/when people brought it up, but the underlying point isn't entirely out there.
