Kurt Russell owns, the problem is that his character was poorly written

I haven't seen him in too many things. But I thought Sky High proved he could both do Superhero and do comedy. So while I thought he was okay in GOTG 2, the role could have been better written.

NAYRT, but I thought Kurt's performance in GOTG2 was great. Ego was just... weirdly underwritten for a character with a very simple motivation at the heart of it, and as a whole, GOTG2 suffered from trying to tell too many stories at once. I think that if they'd cut out the whole awkward Peter/Gamora subplot, the majority of the Video Game Planet seeks revenge nonsense and about a third of the Baby Groot jokes (they were cute, but most of them went on far longer than was needed) and spent that time focusing on developing the "what makes a family" plot, the movie would have been a lot better for it.
