I actually don't get why so many people are complaining about Boss Baby's nom but not Ferdinand, at least Boss Baby had a bit of an interesting underlying premise and there isn't already a perfectly good animated short that does a better job covering the same material. If anything felt like a filler nom to me it was Ferdinand, and in a category where plenty of much better movies didn't even get a nod it's inclusion was ridiculous.

Truth be told, I don't think many people saw Ferdinand....or saw it had a positive score on RT and didn't think more of it.

I haven't seen it, but you're right, BB was at least inventive and different.
