I'm sorry, I'm not sure what shot you are referring to? The shot of the woman taking the spear for Valkyrie and the look of horror on Valkyrie's face was in the movie I saw in the theater.

The shot where Valkyrie is shown with a female lover, which was cut from both the theatrical and Blue-ray releases.

Oh. I didn't even know that shot existed. I just got the feeling or lover from the scene that was in the movie. That particular reaction, I feel, says she just lost the most important person in her life.

I found that scene to be very ambiguous. And I think shipping it requires both shipping goggles and Thompson's "word of god" statements about her personal interpretation.

I mean, the fact that both Isaac and Johnson support stormpilot in statements to fandom doesn't mean that stormpilot is unambiguously "canon," suggestive glances aside.
