A while ago, I happened upon this story and fell completely in love. It has its flaws, and I totally understand that it never was HUGE or anything. The fandom is a zombie, but artifacts can be found of its golden age from about half a decade ago. None of the big names from that period are around today.

Browsing the tumblr of one of the then BNFs, I found that her "about" section had a mention about the fandom and how she no longer "had any interest in the material", and had abadoned it rather than "holding on to grudges". Together with vaguely worded posts I've seen on other blogs, I think I'm finding clues of some apocalyptic wank that wiped out the entire fandom population.
