Are you a fan of seafood, FS? What's your favorite kind? And if you don't like seafood, tell us why!

Seafood is my favorite thing. I love all of it. the only seafood I've ever not liked is catfish, and that's because the few times I've tried it, it has just been really blandly fried.

Favorites: octopus, calamari, shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels

I grew up on seafood. First in Boston and then in the Philippines. So seafood is in my blood. I miss being by the ocean and having really good seafood.

Well, catfish isn't seafood, so that's why you didn't like it! :)

Catfish are freshwater fish, and can taste pretty gross, sometimes, as they're bottom feeders.

I love tuna (tuna sashimi especially, and when it's in sushi rolls), seared scallops, lobster rolls (and lobster mac and cheese), clam chowder (New England style, Manhattan style is good too just not my fave), and mussels steamed in butter and wine.

I just occasionally eat canned tuna fish. I don't like the texture of sea food.

A big plate of really good fish and chips is worth it's weight in gold, imo.

I love seafood but feel guilty when I eat it due to environmental concerns. So I usually save it for my birthday dinner. I especially enjoy salmon or tuna sushi, clams, and shrimp.

I hate seafood. The only seafood I will eat is cheap breaded fish with tartar sauce where it's really not fish any more and you can't taste it for the tartar sauce, and also the clams in clam chowder (but I'm happier if that's not there - the consistency is off-putting).

The smell of cooking fish is the nastiest smell to me in the whole world. I hate it.

Out of seafood I only love fish, but do I love it oh so much. Yummy.

I do like clams, shrimp, scallops, squid, and crab. Not really a fan of lobster, though.

Squid is awesome - chewy, in a good way.

I'm a fan of prawns, sea-bass, place, dover sole, salmon. Pretty much any type of fish so long as it's not covered in batter and deep fried tbh.

I've also had squid and it was okay, mostly didn't taste of much and got chewier the colder it got, which was a bit gross but still edible.

What is life without sashimi? Also if you go to the beach and don't have calamari and fresh-caught everything with a cold one, what is the point?

Oh god yes, I love a platter of fried calamari at the beach! I drink Napa chardonnay with mine!

IPA for me but fuck, just that dash of lemon juice on 'em, my mouth's watering just thinking about it. It's nowhere near warm enough for the beach!

I love it! Sushi is probably my favorite, but I also love shrimp, lobster and fish in general. Raw oysters, too.

Yes!! All kinds. I could eat fish/seafood all day. Scallops are my very, very favorite. Going to New Hampshire/Hampton beach as a kid to visit my dad's family, we would have seafood for *every single meal* for two weeks straight.

How i miss it.

Snow crab legs are my favorite food and crawfish boils (riverfood?) are my favorite kind of party.

I like it in general but get easily bored with salmon and lobster. I love most fish, clams, and cocktail shrimp.

Ehhhhhh.

The thing is, seafood is fine, but I mostly don't like it as much as I like non-seafood things, and it's usually more expensive, so I don't usually end up eating much of it.

I love any seafood other than canned tuna and bluefish.

I can't stand most seafood. I know that the fresher the fish, the less 'fishy' it's supposed to smell, but ugh. I just don't like seafood in general. There's just something about it that makes me gag.

I do like shrimp though. Lobster is only good as fried lobster tail. Other than that, no thanks.
