if I’m at a restaurant that looks busy, then I’ll always try to order less and get out pretty quickly

Okay, I must be a terrible customer, but I'm not rushing my meal or leave out dessert despite wanting one because the restaurant is full. I'm there to have a pleasant and relaxing evening - that's the service a restaurant offers. Otherwise we could have just gotten take-out or cooked ourselves.

Yeah, and I think that's normal too! I feel like I'm a pretty considerate customer. It's weird that some people in this thread seem to think I'm being rude for staying a bit longer in a restaurant when it's not all that busy, and tipping the same amount I normally would (20-25%, which I believe most would consider decent), because I'm continuing to order food/drinks.
