No not the unrealistic past. I never claimed that there was no bad fic. There's always been bad fic. However there has been a shift away from fic based on canon moments that explore the characters in those moments. People also used to expect to have to work for kudos or comments not just post shit like the secret and expect peoe to go oh it's a story. No it's a summary of a story they wanted attention for but couldn't be bothered to write. Lazy fucker.
