I don't think it's messed up: I think it's exactly what would happen .

I think it's exactly what would happen, but I think it's still messed up. Though possibly not more messed up than any of the rest of it...

Why is that messed up? Isn't that exactly what they're there for?

In fact, that's what's going on right here, right now, with wealthy people paying for illegal organ transplants that cost half a million dollars.

Honestly, if you could set it up so cloning would be a thing you could just resleeve yourself into a younger clone. A lot of the ethics would probably vanish.

A lot of the ethics would probably vanish.

You say that, but there would be huge and bizarre philosophical issues arising from that.

Yep. It would be like having a child in order to harvest their organs.

That's pretty much what the show does. Rich people clone themselves and re-sleeve using their clones. Canonically, there's a problem of re-sleeving into another body too many times because it affects your mental health or something.

I've read two or three novels that go into the ethics and yes lots of issues. Never let me go is the most famous one ... Also the movie Michael Bay made, even that one had ethics issues :)
