Fantasy elemental types

(Anonymous) 2018-03-15 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
If you were a fictional character in a fantasy world what would your elemental type be?

It can be from the standard fire/water/air/earth/shadow/holy group or alternate systems like Pokemon types, or anything as unicorn snowflake as you think you actually would be, but not what you'd want to be or think would be cool

Earth

or water/earth, which I guess would be mud

Earth. I am a pretty patient, slow to change person.

Light maybe? For knowledge because I'm always studying and also the healing light thing because I'm a sap who always helps other people. Light is my Homestuck aspect anyhow.

Fire, I think. I'd like to be fire. And I think it fits me. Well, fire and water really. I'm fairly even tempered when it comes to things about me. And I forgive easily. But when it comes to other people and to the issues that matter to me, I'm all fire. And I love the ocean and swimming. My dad used to call me a fish. I practically learned how to swim before I could walk. And I find looking at water calming.

I'm biased though because I've been obsessed with fire in fiction forever. And I was into volcanoes from the time I was really young. And dragons are my obsession. Even when things branch out and there are more than the 4 elements (like Flightrising), I still pick fire every time. I think fire is beautiful. Fiery things make me happy (well, when it is fictional fire or good fire).

My ridiculous Irish/Italian temper means I HAVE to be fire. There's pretty much no other option.

Anything water related, hands down.

I was that kid who was in the lake until the sun was down and every bit of me was wrinkly even though I was starving I'd refuse to get out. The kid who went and danced in the rain all the time. Definitely water.

Going by like, Neopaganism standards, I tend to be water. I think I'm more of a "flowy", flexible type person. Not necessarily fast, not erratic or impulsive. Adaptable, but not stoic and strong like earth. I'm more aikido than kickboxing. I move on, so to speak. Plus, water is associated with dreaming and day-dreaming, which is probably where my head is.

But that's sort of irrelevant to actual affinity to the element. I like water fine, I've always enjoyed swimming and I drink a hell of a lot of it. But I'm not like a fish person that needs to always be in the water at all times. Though, I like cold, I like snow and winter, so my subtype could be ice, maybe?

If I could pick a cool element, I'd go for Psychic/Mystic.

Either fire because I like fire and I am great at setting fires (like... campfires, not houses or something).
But I actually think it would be air/wind. I really, really love wind and my mood instantly improves if it's windy outside.

Fire. My sign is a fire sign and I can be a bit of a pyromaniac so... it fits.

Bird shaman, so likely air, unless I get stuck talking to ducks.

I always go for Lightning. Always. Ice is a close second.

Water. Swimming is one of my favorite things to do, and aside from the time I spent with my horse, Sharif (who I miss dearly), I'm never more at peace than when I'm in or near the water. Unfortunately, Sharif did not share my feelings on water. He hated getting his hooves wet (they might get dirty!), so trail rides involving water crossings were always...interesting. I often ended up taking unexpected swims while he galloped for the barn.

Also, since my hysterectomy in '14, I've basically been in hot flash hell. I've lost my heat tolerance and have gained a surprisingly good cold tolerance, so frost is probably a good fit for me, too. Still, I think my Pokemon typing would be water/fairy rather than water/ice.
