Same cat that hid in the dryer likes to sleep on top of our water heater on occassion.

Our cat is just fast. And small. And a former outdoor cat who knows how to hide. We've accidentally shut her in that closet before and didn't realize where she was for several minutes. So we try to keep her out of situations where we'll lose track of her or have to run to catch her.
