FWIW, I sometimes remember how extremely heartwarming I thought it was to see the actor playing Javert hugging the Valjean when he came on for the curtain call in some small-ish, non-English production I once saw.

Oh, I think there are plenty of people still enjoying the concert! I don't think it will ever be topped, there's just something so magical about it. And Philip Quast...yeah, he's friggin' magical, too.
