What is everyone doing this weekend?

It is going to be really nice out so I am going to try and go on some long walks. I am also going to figure out a new experiment to make in the Instant Pot! Might drink Saturday night if I feel less terrible. Other than that, nothing much.

I'm getting the fuck out of town and watching the chaos on television with my parents. (Who finally realized that trying to find a spot for a little old lady in a wheelchair at an event with thousands of drunken idiots, territorial locals pissed off at having to move from their traditional spots, the secret service, and the local police likely wasn't a good idea.)

Smart plan. Where do you live that this is such a big holiday?

Just the normal groceries and hanging with my cat. I was supposed to hang out with a friend but she came down with both bronchitis and a sinus infection so needless to say, that is totally out.

That sucks for her! I hope she feels better soon so both of you can hang out. :D

after shopping tomorrow I'm going to go to my favorite local cafe and then go home and watch a bunch of Father Ted DVDs. (because St. Patrick's.)

Lol. I hope you have fun relaxing at home. What makes that cafe your favorite?

the atmosphere is super friendly, they play cool music, they have great vegan desserts (I'm not vegan but I've worked in a couple of bakeries and I KNOW how hard it is to make good vegan bakes!) and good tea and coffee.

My usual movie theater is showing "Vertigo," so I have a front row ticket for that. :D Hoping the weather cooperates so I can get out for some walks, too.

Mostly just some chores to do, laundry, cleaning, throwing some more junk out.

I'll be watching through Jessica Jones when I'm not doing that though, not too far off being done with s2.

Going for my weekly hike tomorrow, because I had to take my cat to the vet yesterday and then my aunt had family stuff to do today so we couldn’t go. But I did fix my sink—last night I noticed there was water leaking from somewhere underneath. This morning, when I could see down there without wedging a lamp in so I’d have my hands free, I realized the pipes were actually unscrewed from each other?!? So I put on some rubber gloves, unscrewed all the connectors, cleaned them out, and put them back. I felt like a real adult when I was done. But I still have no clue what happened to cause it.

Sounds like a busy weekend! I have no idea what could make them come unscrewed. Maybe they were not secure in the first place so just water pressure slowly rattling them loose.

Going to see Wrinkle in Time tomorrow at some point. Other than that, no plans. Probably going to put some music on my Ipod. I have a bunch of stuff to sort through.

I hope you are able to sort through it quickly and I hope the movie is good!

This is my second time seeing it, so I already know it is good. May see Black Panther for a third time as well if the show times work out. I just need a day out of the house, by myself.

Tomorrow is the REI Garage Sale. I'm going to try to get a good deal on backpacking gear, and maybe buy some freeze-dried ice cream just because I like freeze-dried ice cream.

Glad you're getting some nice weather! We're apparently expecting a miniature 'Beast from the East' in the UK, so shitty weather all round for now.

I'm going to be working and fretting over the fact that I've got horrendous toothache and every local dentist is full and not accepting new patients. :[ On the waiting list but it's my birthday next week so I was really hoping to get this sorted before then. Boo.

Oh no! I hope it isn't too horrible. Crazy that the dentists around you are so full. Do you think it is a cavity or something?

It is nuts, we genuinely have three dentists in a row on one street and I spoke to every one on my way to work and all I got was an emergency number and a place on the waiting list, but no idea how long that list is. The tooth got chipped on one side when I fell over but that was ages ago. Not sure what it is but the whole left side of my face hurts. :(
