It's been so long since I read the books, but I thought Crookshanks was supposed to be grumpy, or an instigator of chaos, or one of those cats that's only nice to it's owner. I don't know know anything about Ed Sheeran, but he doesn't seem grumpy. I realize you're talking about physical appearance, but I still can't get past the grumpiness.
