Although even then, I do kind of mind that it seems to make everything pre-season five almost an AU.

That part soured me on the character from the beginning.

It didn't help that Dawn's one of those characters that was obviously supposed to be "relatable to the kids these days," but pretty much existed to be bratty and need rescuing all the time.
