Noragami

It's got it all: killer art, appealingly flawed characters, believable and engaging conflicts, an endearing stripperific war god that rides on a lion and uses guns. Everything.

I loooved Noragami! It's been a long time since I watched it, but I remember being really impressed by it. At least, the premise was neat, and I liked the three main characters. I haven't read the manga though.

It had been a while for me too until binged the manga this week. I gave the anime a shot because some anon here was horny for Bishamon if that gives you an idea of how long it's been. But, yeah the series has loads of strongpoints but is by how good the main trio is.
