I guess to me seeing a "sexualized" outfit (which she doesn't wear all the time) doesn't equal "male gaze". General fanservice exists, and as I said, she doesn't dress sexy all the time.

I agree that just "sexualized" =/= "male gaze", but I think "objectified" is a lot closer in that regard.

And yeah, again, I don't really have a sense of how it plays out in the show at all!

Honestly she's the only good thing about the damn show.

But she's not, like, posing sexily or anything. She's doing her regular work and just happens to be wearing these. It isn't focused on. Someone may remark on some aspect of her outfit but those tend to be more of "wtf why" sorts of remarks.

I kind of like the show, but I agree she is the best thing about it. Especially her cheery friendship with stuffy but lovable Ducky. OP, she is more the team's eccentric best friend/kid sister than sexy goth girl.
