Cheating or infidelity portrayed in a positive light, especially if it's to get a non-canon ship together.

I'd rather just straight up AU that shit a bit so the canon ship aren't together/never met for whatever reason, or they broke up offscreen. Even if I don't care for the canon ship in question I don't want my ship to be the cause of a break up, it's not romantic or sweet to me it's just shitty(and frankly would make me doubt the chances of my ship ending happily long-term if they're both written as cheating assholes).

That and I tend to hate how the canon LI is often vilified horribly in those types of fics.

Thankfully I don't see them often but I do absolutely hate them when I do and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

To be fair, if the canon LI is being horribly vilified, one would assume that the cheater wouldn't behave the same way in a relationship that isn't with a horrible villain.
