I feel surprisingly zen about seeing shoulder pads, paper bag pants, and acid wash denim pop up again.

Shoulder pads have always been in...my closet! This is arguably the second 80s wave, or at least a continued trickling, as I recall 10-15 years ago leg warmers came back (shudder) and sometime in the last 10 years, neon spandex like shit returned. This has been interspersed with 90s fashion as well. I think it depends on the scene as well what styles you'll see reinvented/resurrected.
