(Anonymous) 2018-03-25 01:30 am (UTC)(link)Even the healthy, well-adjusted artists usually have weird sleep schedules and never go outside. Because fun-fact: to get quality art done on a deadline, you have to actually work hard on it, and that means putting in a lot of hours and sacrificing other things, like normal amounts of sleep and a social life. The artist gets used to this lifestyle and that makes it harder to deal with people, thus creating this recurring cycle that you're seeing here. You yeah, you're not reinforcing anything bad. This artist in question is just making a living with their art and fussing about the negative aspects of the job.
tl;dr keep supporting the artist if you like their art. This sort of behavior is to be expected from professional artists, more or less.
(That's a cute fan, though. I want one.)
