nayrt - Eh. I'm not a Cap fan either, but those traits don't make Stark compelling for me. I don't like people who fuck up and never learn from their mistakes but expect everyone to forgive them anyway.

I don't really think that's true of Tony. It's more like he fucks up, and in his effort to not make that mistake again, he proceeds to fuck up in a new and bigger way. And I really don't see him demanding instant forgiveness. I thought a big part of his arc was that he couldn't even forgive himself, much less expect anyone else to forgive him.
