OP, it is their job - if you wish to quit being a client then do it. I do not analyse what people do with their wages unless it somehow affects me.

Also ... being in new media or just in creative market is exhausting as it is constant mental work so sleep comes and goes as pleases. Sure, can be said for other jobs of similar type.

Aaaand the artist might have worked night shifts in the past. I did for a decade until last year and still cannot reset. That makes leaving house harder as you end up wandering in the dark with everyone else asleep.

And people do suck. I much prefer dogs.
